Getting things going

I’m having a slow week, so I decided to spruce the site up. In that, I learned about a new CSS property!

Did you know you could blur backdrops now, instead of messing around with SVG filters? Check it out:

woah look at me morty my background is blurry but i’m not

“How did you do that?” You ask. NONE OF YOUR BUSINESS. Ha ha, just kidding, it’s below!

.background-div {
    background-image: url('https://thomasplex.crabdance.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/09/coffee.jpg');
    background-size: cover;
    width: 300px;
    height: 300px;
}

.blurry-background {
    padding: 20px;
    background: rgba(0, 0, 0, 0.5);
    backdrop-filter: blur(3px);
    color: white;
}

It’s the backdrop-filter property. Pretty nifty!

By the way, if you know of any nifty plugins for a home server wordpress thingy, let me know.
